Tasting Notes: By Tasos Protoapapas

Nose: Sweet notes of toasted marshmallow and caramel, perfectly combined with Sherry and oak aromas. Subsequently, the fruity character is unrevealed with gently banana and mellon aromas followed by black chocolate, vanilla and a bit of saltiness.

Palate: sweet and velvet with subtle savory taste at the first sip. Fresh cherries and Sherry flavors are finely rotated leaving a spicy black pepper at the end.

Finish: Medium and spicy with the pleasant sherry aftertaste to remain for a long time.

Exquisitely beautiful and unusual dram.

Producer's Informations

With the move to unchill-filtered malt and a higher strength of 46.3%, this remarkable 18 year old has more than earned some new packaging.

Hinting at the tales the liquid within has to tell, the label highlights the move to a natural colour and an unchill-filtered process. Similarly, the bottle is now presented in a quality gift carton containing a welcoming booklet with information on the brand.

Tasting Notes

A nose and a taste of this tells more than a book ever could. The beautiful golden spirit's aroma releasing honeyed nuts and a slightly sea-induced salty tang. Rich toffee and leathery oak notes can be sensed upon further reading, while the palate tells of mellow sherried nuts and shavings of the finest natural oak wood.
Its story ends very happily, with dry notes interspersed with mixed spices fading magnificently into a light salt and sherry finale.
